This Pro Series photo/video Tripod is great for photographers that are looking for a lightweight and compact design tripod and is ideal for steady shooting with a camcorder or digital still camera where you need to follow the action without moving yourself.
This tripod is very inexpensive, but full of feature. It Extends to a comfortable eye-level viewing height of 60 inches, but it collapses to 22.5 inches, provides a maximum load capacity of 4 pounds, and weighs only 3 pounds. It has a 3-way pan/tilt head that makes it easy and convenient to point your camera where you need it without having to adjust the tripod itself. This means it has the ability to position your camera from a normal landscape orientation, to a portrait orientation so you are sure to be able to capture the photo you want. This tripod also has a quick release plate to connect to your camera for easy set up and take down making it a breeze to switch from tripod use to handheld shooting. A Monopod, also called a Unipod, is a pole used to help support cameras (or, less frequently, binoculars). It allows a still camera to be held steadier, allowing the photographer to take sharp pictures at slower shutter speeds, and/or with longer focal length lenses. When used by itself, it eliminates camera shake in the vertical plane. When used in combination with leaning against a large object, a bipod is formed; this can also eliminate horizontal motion.
This Monopod is made to fold, when not in use, allowing to be easily transported and stored do to its light weight.
Unlike a tripod, monopods cannot support a camera independently, limiting the shutter speed that can be used. They still allow lower shutter speeds than hand holding, and are easier to carry and use than a tripod.
